Introduction

Hello HGeo Group, I would like Geogebra to be a part of our class and assessments. I have not figured out the details yet, but am excited about how it may evolve into a robust platform to communicate between ourselves. Let me know if time on a computer will be a challenge. I will be setting up tasks that you may or may not be able to do. Do not worry if you can't do one; let me know if you're stuck on something and maybe move on to see if you can do the next one. Do not limit yourself to the tasks I give you; if you want to express you ideas and thoughts through Geogebra, then please do it. Here are your first tasks: I'd like you to become familiar with the tool bar. So please go through each tab and ask questions about any that you don't understand. 1) Create a quadrilateral in 2 different ways (using 2 different tabs) 2) Use Euclid's construction to create an equilateral triangle. We have done it by hand and I did not use the term Euclid, so please do a little research. 3) Construct an angle BAC and the bisector of angle BAC. Verify their measure with the measuring tool. 4) Construct a segment AB and then construct a square that has sides equal to segment AB. Verify the your construction passes the "drag" test. If you "grab" your square and it maintains it's square shape then it probably is a square. It's not a proof, but it's a rough way to show that it is a square.
