notes
Dimension - a dimension is something that can be measured
- a zero-dimensional object is a point in space. It can't be measured but it had a location
-There are three one-dimensional "space dimensions" lengths, width, and depth
- Two-dimensional objects have area
-Three dimensional objects have volume
- Often "time" is called that fourth dimension
Length -Length is the amount of distance between two points along a straight line
- Length exists in one dimension
- Length is like a wire
Finding Length
- Length is often given in a problem or it can be figured out by using properties of parallel lines and parallelograms
- Length between points
