Absolute Value Functions & quadrilaterals
In this applet we study the shapes that can formed by two absolute value functions.
Use the white dots to position the vertices of the absolute value functions.
Use the blue and green dots to determine the slopes of the functions on either side of the vertex.
What absolute value functions are the blue and green lines?
Where do they intersect?
What is area of the quadrilateral formed?
How can you make this area into a rectangle?
a kite? a parallelogram? a square? a rhombus?
