Welcome to the GeoGebra Builders Handbook
For a long time I have thought that there is a crucial bit of documentation missing. The on-line manual is fine for deciphering how to use most commands and to get an overview of things and the Quick-start GeoGebra books are great for starting out. There are instructional videos and advanced tutorials. But somehow, in spite of all of this, I felt that something was missing.
Most of the above documentation concerns itself with users. Whether students or adult investigators, most of the existing documentation takes this perspective. What I wanted was the builder's perspective. How do you build constructions, apps or worksheets that are intelligent and elaborate enough to be used to great effect? What are the tricks of the trade, slowly surfacing through the vast amount of posts in the forum and from the collective experience of the community?
We are now - and have been for some time - at a point where GeoGebra is in fact the favored choice of software to build into publishers support web sites and governmental curriculum support and examination web sites. And GeoGebra has its very own dynamic math publishing system. The time, I argue is ripe for a new level of documentation, one lying between the users perspective and the developers perspective. The time is ripe for all the builders to join forces and help new builders develop their skills.
Happy Building!
