Rotation Investigation
1) Below is a triangle that has been rotated 90° about the origin (point 0,0).
Fill out the table of the coordinates of the original triangle ABC and the rotated triangle A'B'C'.
2) Rotate the original triangle ABC 180°, 270°, and 360°. (Select the rotate object around point by angle button-box the given triangle and select the origin. Now change the angle.)
3) Fill in the table of values for each rotation. What do you notice about the coordinates of each rotation compared to the original coordinates? Can you come up with a rule for each rotation?
