Rolle's Theorem - Lesson+Exploration+Practice
Explore the function and find the points at which the Rolle's Theorem for a real function holds true.
Define the function in the f(x) box, and the start point a and end point b of the interval in the related boxes (you can also drag points a and b in the Graphics View).
Move point c along the x-axis to view the tangent line to the function graph, as well as the value of its slope in the left View.
For each problem, determine if Rolle's Theorem can be applied.
If it can, find all values of c that satisfy the theorem. If it cannot, explain why.
