Inverse Trig Functions
This geogebra applet is a slight modification of Ann Defranco's applet on Inverse Trigonometeric Functions. It demonstrates graphs of sine, cosine, and tangent functions and their inverse functions. Viewer is advised to pay special attention to restriction of these trig functions, both on graphs and accompnying text, so that they become bijections paving way to defining their inverses.
Check a trig function to view its graph and restriction for making it a bijection. Check inverse to see the graph of inverse of the selected trig function.
After studying this demonstration students are advised to explore cosecant, secant, and cotangent functions for their inverses.
