Apparent Depth

This simulation investigate the effect of refraction on the apparent depth of an object immersed in a liquid.
  • We can judge depth because we have two eyes. The slight difference in the angle of light at our eyes gives us information about the distance to the source.
  • Use the slders to change observer position, depth of the object and the index of refraction of the liquid.
