Extroverts Simulation
According to one psychological theory of personality, people can be divided into three personality types: introvert (shy), extrovert (outgoing), or ambivert (balanced between shy & outgoing). These categories are defined in such a way that the general population is approximately equally divided between the three personality types. Suppose eight pairs of persons are needed for a psychological experiment. If the pairs are formed by chance, about how many pairs will have at least one extrovert? Describe a simulation using random digits that will model this situation.
In the dot plot below, each dot represents the number of pairs out of eight pairs that contain at least 1 extrovert. There are 100 trials in the simulation.
