The complex points on the graph of a real function

This applet allows you to investigate the complex points on the graph of a polynomial function. You can enter a polynomial of degree up to 6 in the box. The complex input is shown on the x-axis - the blue point is the real part and the red arrow is the imaginary part. You can change this input by moving the blue and red points on the x-axis. The output is shown on the y-axis - again the blue point is the real part and the red arrow is the imaginary part. This will move when you move the input. The point on the graph is shown as a black arrow - the gold point is the real part and the arrow itself is the imaginary part. This arrow is shown inside an iplane, though only a section of the iplane is shown. This will move when you move the input, with the section of the iplane changing to allow room for the complex point.
