1,2,3,4,5 Part Piecewise Function

Piecewise functions have two or more function parts making them up. This is a demo allows the user to select modify the domain with a simple inequality, two part piecewise inequality, a three part inequality, a four part inequality, or a five part inequality as a function. The slider new the bottom of the control panel allows the user to select the number of parts to use. The middle part should to be between the outer parts to be a function. The check boxes allow the user to shade the domain of each segment specified. You can enter any function into f1(x), f2(x), f3(x), f4(x) and f5(x) along with its matching domain. CAUTION: The domains of f2(x), f3(x), and f4(x) must be 3 part inequalities; f1(x) and f5(x) are single part inequalities. You may need to place your mouse on the origin, press <shift> and scroll in/out to ZOOM the graph. Also, holding <shift> while dragging the mouse will move the entire graph.
